Michael Feifer is an award-winning filmmaker and the founder of Feifer Film Academy. With more than 135 produced films, 80 directed features, and over 50 screenplays written, Michael is one of the most prolific independent filmmakers working today. His movies have aired on Lifetime, Hallmark, ION and more, and have been released internationally through studios such as Lionsgate, Sony, and MarVista Entertainment.

Growing up in a Hollywood family and trained originally in architecture, Michael brings a rare combination of artistic vision and practical industry expertise. After working his way from production to distribution, he developed a reputation as both an actor’s director and a producer’s director—known for his storytelling, collaboration, efficiency, and ability to deliver studio-quality films on time and on budget.

Michael has directed well-known talent including Val Kilmer, Brittany Murphy, Bruce Dern, Tom Skerritt, Jennifer Carpenter, Tom Arnold, and many more. While still directing movies, he is also channeling his decades of filmmaking experience into teaching, helping new filmmakers understand both the craft and the business of making movies.
